Recreational vehicles
RV storage starts with length and height.
A recreational vehicle is not a large car. The stall has to take the length, the height, the slides, and the season you will not be driving.
RV storage, indoor RV storage, covered RV storage, and outdoor RV parking are one family. Trailer storage overlaps when the trailer is a travel trailer someone lives in on weekends. Utility and cargo trailers have their own page because they are lower, lighter, and easier to mistake for “just parking.” If your trailer has a kitchen, start here. If it carries a mower, start with trailer storage.
RV storage is covered for Calgary, Edmonton, St. Albert, Ottawa, Abbotsford, Regina, and smaller places such as Red Deer, Lethbridge, Winnipeg, Hamilton, and Kamloops. Baexrs does not open a doorway page for every town. This page holds the national decision. St. Albert has its own guide beside Edmonton because coaches are a local topic there, not a duplicate of Edmonton’s household-unit page.
Indoor, covered, outdoor
Indoor storage protects roof seals, slides, and tires from a full winter. It is scarce because RVs are tall. Covered storage is a roof on posts. It stops snow load better than it stops wind. Outdoor storage is common and honest if you maintain the roof and covers yourself. A breathable cover, correctly tied, is different from a cheap tarp that rubs. Ask whether the facility allows covers and whether they will be liable if a cover comes loose. Assume they will not, unless the contract says so.
The measurements that matter
Write the length including the hitch or the spare, the height with roof air conditioners, and the width with slides in and, if you might forget, with slides out. A stall that works with slides in can still be the wrong stall if you need to pull a slide for access. Ask about pull-through versus back-in. Ask about the surface. Soft gravel and a heavy Class A are a poor combination in a thaw. Ask about dump facilities only if you need them. Many storage yards are not campgrounds, and they should not be treated as one. The photograph on this page shows vehicles parked in the open near a coast. It is an illustration of the machines, not a Baexrs yard.
Winterizing is your job unless someone says otherwise
Plumbing, batteries, tires, and fuel are owner maintenance. A storage contract is not a promise that someone will winterize the coach. If a facility offers that work, it should be a separate written service. Baexrs does not. Rodents are the unglamorous risk: mice in a stored RV are a Canadian cliché because it keeps happening. Block gaps you are allowed to block, and do not leave food in the cupboards.
Season and queue
Demand bunches when camping season ends. In Alberta that is a real queue, not a slogan. Ottawa’s RV searches sit beside boat searches, because the same households often own both and the same yards sometimes allow both. Abbotsford’s RV questions belong to the Fraser Valley, where people keep a coach they will not drive into downtown Vancouver. Use those city pages for the local picture, and use this page to decide indoor versus outdoor before you ask anyone for a price.
Is a travel trailer RV storage or trailer storage?
If it is a camping trailer with living quarters, treat it as RV storage and measure height. Utility trailers belong on the trailer page.
Do you list monthly RV rates?
No. Length, height, indoor or outdoor, and city change the quote. No Baexrs rate is published.
Can I live in the RV at the storage yard?
Storage is not a campground. Assume overnight stays are prohibited unless a contract explicitly allows them.
Why is St. Albert mentioned?
St. Albert has its own city guide focused on RV storage. That local page explains the neighbourhood context without pretending there is a separate national product.
What should I measure?
Total length, height with roof units, width with slides in, and the turning room you need to park.
Before you send the length
Include the hitch or the spare in the length, and the roof air conditioner in the height. Say whether slides must be in. Say whether you need pull-through. Say the month camping ends for you, not the month you hope the yard is empty. St. Albert, Calgary, Edmonton, Ottawa, Abbotsford, and Regina each mention coaches in their city guides. Those guides link here rather than hosting a second set of stall rules. Smaller towns do not each get a page. Name the town in the enquiry if that is where the coach will sit.
Do not describe the yard as a place you will sleep. Storage is not a campsite. If a facility offers winterizing, it should be a separate written service. It is not included because you rented a stall, and it is not included by Baexrs.
