Security
Security is a list of questions you can ask on a visit.
This page is educational. The commercial URL for secure storage and 24-hour access is the 24-hour storage page. Splitting them keeps a checklist from competing with the phrase people search, and keeps the commercial 24-hour page from pretending Baexrs has published a security specification for a facility it operates.
The gate and the lock
A gate, a code, and your lock are three layers. Ask who else has a code, whether codes are unique, and how a code is cancelled when someone moves out. Ask which lock the facility accepts. Buy that kind, not a decorative one they will cut. Keep the key outside the unit.
What you can see
Lighting in the corridor. Water stains. The gap under the door. Whether the fence is the entire storey or a suggestion. Whether you can visit before you pay. A photograph on a website, including the photographs on this one, is not a site inspection.
Cameras and response
If cameras are claimed, ask whether they record, for how long, and who answers when something happens. A camera without a person is a record, not a guard. Baexrs does not state that any particular system is installed, because no system has been specified for publication.
Insurance
Assume your contents are your responsibility until a written policy says otherwise. A lock is not a policy. The rentals page notes that some operators require proof of insurance or sell a protection plan. Read that line on the invoice. This website does not sell coverage and does not quote a premium.
Your own habits
An inventory, a photo of the packed unit, and a second person who knows you have the unit. Do not post the unit number and the gate code in the same note. Do not store the only copy of something you cannot replace.
