Towed
Trailer storage is parking with a reason.
Utility, cargo, and boat trailers need length on the ground and a place the city will tolerate. They are not a small RV unless someone sleeps in them.
Trailer storage is easy to confuse with RV storage. Outdoor parking language often appears beside it. Baexrs splits the intent on purpose. A cargo or utility trailer is a rectangle you tow. A travel trailer with living quarters is an RV. A boat trailer may live on either page depending on whether the hull needs stands and height. If you are unsure, send the length and a sentence about what is on the frame.
What the stall has to do
It has to take the tongue or the hitch, the full length, and the width of the fenders. It has to be reachable without moving three other trailers, unless you are willing to book that inconvenience. Surface matters. A loaded cargo trailer sinks into spring mud. Ask about gravel, asphalt, or concrete. Ask whether you may work on the trailer in the stall. Many yards forbid it. Ask about security at the gate and still lock the hitch.
Where people confuse the products
RV parking in a city such as Toronto can be a trailer problem or a coach problem. Boat storage in Ottawa can be a trailer with a hull. The RV page and the boat page exist so those machines are not forced into a parking metaphor. Use trailer storage when the object is the trailer itself: landscaping equipment, a cargo box, a utility frame, a boat that stays on the trailer and does not need a tall indoor bay.
City rules
Many municipalities dislike trailers stored for months on a residential street. A driveway may be allowed and still annoy a neighbour or breach a bylaw. Baexrs will not cite a bylaw number it has not verified for your lot. Check the city, then rent a stall if the driveway is the wrong answer. That check is the whole product for some owners.
Is a travel trailer included here?
No. Living-quarters trailers are treated as RVs. Measure them on the RV page.
Can I store a boat trailer here?
Yes if the boat stays on the trailer and you do not need indoor height or stands. Otherwise use boat storage.
Do you list monthly parking rates?
No. Length and surface change the quote.
May I leave the trailer on the street instead?
Often that is restricted. Confirm locally. This page cannot clear it.
What should I measure?
Total length with the hitch, width, and the room you need to reverse in.
Say what is on the frame
A cargo box, a utility frame, and a boat that never leaves the trailer can share this page. A travel trailer with a kitchen cannot. Send the length with the hitch and say whether you must back in. Ask about the surface in spring. Ask whether you may turn a wrench in the stall. Many yards forbid work, and finding out after you have spread tools is unpleasant. Street storage in front of a house is often restricted. This page will not quote a bylaw. It will tell you to check before you rely on the curb.
The photograph used here shows a larger recreational vehicle because the scale of outdoor parking is the point. Your trailer may be shorter. The rules about length and surface still apply. If the object grew a living quarters, move the enquiry to RV storage.
